A part of the famed Annapurna circuit this trek can be done as a part of the 3 week Annapurna circuit or as a stand-alone trek done in 8 days. We begin the trek from Pokhara a quaint town located below the mighty Annapurna range and dotted with lakes and fast-flowing rivers. A quick 20-minute flight or a beautiful 6-hour drive from Kathmandu brings you to Pokhara. This trek is characterized by lush semi-tropical forests in the low lands to pine and deciduous forests in the middle range to alpine yak meadows and cold shrublands in the higher reaches. while the lower reaches have a sprinkling of multiple ethnicities with their diverse culture and habits, the middle ranges are mostly people of Gurung ethnicity. The higher reaches are inhabited by people of the Tibetan stock, this trek besides taking you through a myriad of vegetation and landscape also gives you a peek into the lifestyle and culture of the various ethnicities that call Nepal home.
