One of the most famous short treks in Nepal is the Ghadruk-Poon Hill circuit. Equally popular amongst international and domestic travelers this trek offers a wide range of flora, fauna, and vistas of the Himalayas. Starting at an altitude of 800mts in lush green semi-tropical forests we reach a maximum altitude of 3215mts at Poon Hill. Easy meandering trails with low altitudes have led to this trek sometimes also be labeled as the retired people’s trek. The Annapurna Massif dominates the horizon around Ghandruk while at Poon Hill Dhaulagiri steals the show. The sunrise from Poon Hill is as spectacular as anywhere in the world and worth the painstaking climb.
